EXHIBITION - PUPPETRY IS NOT A CHILD'S TOY, BUT A GENRE!

40', lobby, photo exhibition, 6+, HU

The puppeteer's eye cannot tolerate stillness. The movement of the hands brings a puppet, an object, a material to life. The photographer, on the other hand, observes the movement of the puppeteer through a lens and captures the most beautiful moments of movement. The photographer captures the fleeting moment when the puppets are brought to life by the puppetry students. The photos give us a glimpse into the pedagogical process of puppetry.

The photo exhibition is presented every year on World Puppetry Day. The project is carried out in collaboration with students from the Audiovisual Communication: Scriptwriting and Advertising, Media, and Puppetry specializations. The project leaders are Tibor Jakab, Anna Kós, Rozália Máthé.

The event is a part of the movement initiated by the Budapest Puppet Theatre several years ago, that promotes the increasingly important art of puppetry and showcases the young generation of puppeteers, under the banner of puppetry is not an age class, but a genre. Let there be play in the actor, life in the puppets, let's laugh together!
