“I owe everything I know to the experiences of my childhood.” (Erzsébet Török). Recently, we have been talking more and more about the differences between generations. But what about common ground?
Childhood is one of the most crucial stages of growing up. Every generation will have a different experience, but there is one point that everyone has in common: playing.
The joy, the memory, the magic of playing is timeless. A play can tell a story. At least that's what we are trying to do. The love of life and humour of Polcz Alaine is able to present the everyday life of Transylvanian families between the two world wars in a simple way. We gain an insight into the small joys, fears and pranks, with a touch of humour.
Every time period is different. It has different lessons and customs. “But of course it's no better, no worse, just different (Krisztián Steigervald).”
As adults we tend to forget the possibility to play. This performance wants to rebuild this common ground, so we welcome all audience members to join us in sharing their favourite childhood game!
