Emlék Bundás is a contemporary novelist who fell between two stools in every walk of life. Hardly young, but not yet middle-aged, not successful at all, he manages to get by. His character is the post-modern Sinbad, seeking meaning for his existence in the mysteries of gastronomy and love, but of course without success. The more he tries to give meaning to his life, the more depression, schizophrenia and alcoholism take over.

The story begins in medias res. He has been through a divorce, the love of his life has left him. The traumatised protagonist's sense of reality is already teetering on the edge. He is commissioned by the editor-in-chief of his publisher to write a western, and that very evening a bearded hermaphrodite presents him with the happily ever after of his life. The great love of his life appears and disappears, while Bundás experiences the overwhelming happiness with a female philosopher. These scenes are mostly linked by one thing, apart from the protagonist's alcoholism: the overwhelming power of love, which ironically only destroys Bundás's soul.

The adaptation is based on the novel of the same title by András Cserna- Szabó. The performance is a monodrama, lasting about an hour, with traces of puppet elements.
